It should come as no surprise that National More Herbs Less Salt Day is celebrated during the month of August, after all, it’s the ideal time when your garden’s veggies and herbs are at their peak with nature’s bountiful harvest of beautifully lush, vibrant, and aromatic scents of basil, thyme, oregano, lavender, and the list goes on and on.
Today’s holiday also inspires me to seek out new recipes for the herbs in my own garden, which I lovingly refer to as my Backyard Aromatherapy, as well as encouraging us all to choose healthy herbs over salts.
